Simon Berg – Artistic Director of the St. Konrad Gospel Choir

At the age of 5, Simon Berg discovered his love for music and was able to participate in great performances as a singer in various children's choirs.

After school, Simon studied singing and piano at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich and was a church musician in the Evangelical Reformed Church of Munich from 1989 to 1999.

After graduating, he moved to Berlin, where he worked from 2000 to 2002 as a répétiteur and conductor in the musical production "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". From 2001-2010 he was involved in several productions of the "EuropaChorAkademie" as an artistic assistant. In addition, he was conductor of a chamber music podium of the RIAS Chamber Choir, an a cappella concert of the Chamber Choir of the Berlin State Opera "Apollini et Musis" and the Operetta Festival in Monschau in the Eifel.

He was and is a regular guest singer in projects of the "Komische Oper Berlin", the "Vocalconsort Berlin" and the "Rundfunkchor Berlin".
